Learn The Simple Secrets to Business Success That Will Have You Creating Massive Value and Earning Lots of Money — Finally Looking Like a Real Business Owner!

Make A Lot Of Money

Do you want to make a lot of money with your online business? Of course you do.

Silly question, right? I don’t think anyone has ever had the idea of starting a business hoping NOT to make money.

We all want to make money and be successful.  However, most newbie business owners (myself included) seem to operate under the idea of “If you build it they will come.” #fieldofdreams

Except that couldn’t be any further from the truth.  Great for the movies, not so great in the context of building a successful business.

When I started my business, I thought all I had to do was tell people about it and they’d immediately be chomping at the bit to buy because the product was amazing and I was a living testimonial of what it could do for people. #wrong

My train of thought (although I didn’t literally sit down and pen it) was that you sell the product and then build a relationship with your clients. And that didn’t work.

Shocking?  NOT!

I had the order of those things reversed a bit.  Unfortunately, I see so many people making the same mistake and it’s sort of like watching a really bad accident in slow motion.  All I can do is cover my eyes, cringe and tense up.

But lately I’ve been thinking that maybe I should share so that others may avoid this pain?

So in my years of learning how to better build a business, there are some lessons I’ve learned that I’d like to share with you in  the hopes that maybe you can shortcut some of the trial and error.

Get-Inside-Their-HeadsStrategy #1: Know Your Target Market

Intimately–down to the nitty gritty detail of their life.

To effectively serve your customer, you have to know them.  How can you expect to add value to someone’s life if you don’t understand them, their struggles, their problems and most importantly…their desires.

Define the person who most needs what you’re offering and always design your marketing around meeting their need.

Strategy #2: Provide Killer Free Content

Give away the good stuff. The stuff that’s valuable and mind blowing.  You want your customers to have repeated face-palm moments when they’re reading/watching/listening to your stuff.

Crown yourself the “Content Queen”… (or “King” for you guys who might have stumbled upon my blog.) 😉

If you can identify the needs of your target market and provide uber valuable information for FREE, they’ll keep coming back for more  and it will solidify your credibility as the “go-to” in your niche.

Strategy #3: Engage With Your Customers

You may have heard the saying, “People don’t care what you know until they know that you care.”

By getting to intimately know your customer and giving away your best info for free, you’ve already established some trust and goodwill with your audience.

Now don’t stop there–show them that you’re a real person, not some faceless company doing business on the internet. If you can, connect with them via social media, talk to them on the phone, drop them a personal note.  Do everything in your power to develop a relationship with them.

bunny_high_five-2501If they’ve already used your product or implemented things you’ve given to them for free and have gotten results, publicly praise them and ask them for a testimonial.  What’s even better?  If you’ve worked really hard at building a relationship and giving your customers a “wow” experience, they’ll become a marketing force for your business.

By the way, if you’ve never read Raving Fans…you should.  It’s an oldie but a goodie.

Strategy #4: Ask For The Sale

Only after you’ve done the first 3 strategies should you consider #4.

Turn the “If you build it, they will come” idea on it’s head.

Rather than looking for “sales” right out of the gate, provide the most valuable things up-front. Spend time connecting with your target market, providing killer free content, building a relationship — and THEN ask for the sale.  Then and only then have you earned the right to ask for their money.

The Take Away

Rather than being known as a business that’s all about making money, make it your mission to be known as a business that provides RIDICULOUS value… and as a result makes a lot of money.

Our new mantra will be…

If you build it, blow them away with what you give them, tell them how much you appreciate them, interact with them and you show that you care, they will come and gladly pay you for the privilege.

Let’s implement these strategies to make a huge impact in your business and in return make a lot of money. Whaddaya say?
