Easy Summer Healthy Party Recipe

‘Tis the season for outdoor parties, grill-outs and summer FUN!

If you’re anything like me, I absolutely LOVE to get together with friends – cutting up and laughing, there really isn’t much else better to me!

And it seems that there is ALWAYS food involved — especially for me since I tend to eat every few hours anyway. I don’t want to go long without having something to eat!

But I also don’t always want to indulge. It has its time and its place, don’t get me wrong — I try to keep it to a minimum!

So I want to share an awesome, easy (that’s my middle name), healthy summer party recipe with you!

ham and pineapple kabobs

Grilled Pineapple & Ham Kabobs

How delicious does that look?? Mmmm-mmmm-GOOD!!

Checkout how simple this is:

INGREDIENTS:

  • sliced ham, cut in strips or squares
  • pineapple, cut in chunks

*reserve pineapple juice from pineapple

INSTRUCTIONS:
Prepare grill.

Assemble ham and pineapple on skewers in alternating pattern.

Place skewers over indirect heat on grill, and baste occasionally with pineapple juice if desired, turning kabobs after 3-4 minutes on each side, or cooked to preference.

If using wooden skewers, soak for at least 30 minutes before using to reduce burning skewers.
